Rear help plz

How do i know what size my reciever is ? Going with 3.73's but they need to know if its 3" or 4" reciever ??? 72 chevy 350 c/10

I think you mean "carrier" and it would be either a 3 or 4 series carrier... what gears does it have in it now?

3.07- 3.42 is on a 3 series carrier, whereas 3.73 & numerically lower is on a 4 series carrier. i beleive you can get the 3.73 gears for a 3 or 4 series carrier(aftermarket on the 3 series 3.73s). Most shops dont reccomend using the thicker gears on the 3 series carrier tho. I havent tryed that route, but have been told they dont "setup" as nice . ?? good luck,crazyL
