Latest Craigslist and weekend scores
Been a while since I was hitting the streets looking for parts but, I ran accross a couple of gems I thought I would share. Out of my Pa. honey hole, I picked up this NOS 73'-80' fender for $ 20!!!!!!! Seems the guy bought it attempted to paint but, then put some primer on it an hung it in his garage..... I also picked up up a 460486 truck bell housing for $ 20 the same day.
Fast forward (1) week....... Went to see Bill Athey (pickupman) yesterday and he set me up with a matched set of 86' K10 wd rears for " Miss Callie Mae " for free. Stand up guy who is great to do business with. Today, I ran across these vintage Edelbrock sand cast alunminum sbc valve covers. Pics are after I cleaned them up a little bit. Not bad i thought for $ 30. Anyone have any good ideas on polishing up aluminum?

Re: Latest Craigslist and weekend scores
Nice score. Those old valve covers will clean up really nice. Get the ribs polished and the rest powder coated and they will be like new.

I dig the valve covers...I'd bead blast 'em, then polish the ribs.

Re: Latest Craigslist and weekend scores
Nice scores !
I ran across some extra cash and checked two surrounding craigslist, Dayum everyone wants more than new price for their half worn out beat up junk. I noticed the same thing on sleezebay, I don't mind paying a "fair" price but it's ridiculous anymore when used cost more than new.....
