250 in a TF
hey is their anyone here running a 250 in a TF truck? looking for info and pic's on the install as a motor option for my 56' panel. really seems like better option than 235 in terms of transmission choice that are direct bolt up.

Re: 250 in a TF
I cannot answer your question directly but aren't the 230 and 250 the same external same size.
I know when my dad was a kid he pulled the 260 (straight 6) our of his 54 corvette and installed a 292 straight 6 (jimmy) truck motor. It was the same external size as the 260. |

Re: 250 in a TF
Use a V 8 bellhousing for the 55-59 chevy truck - bolts up in the same spot( back of the 230 -292 block ,etc is the same) . TOM LANGDON at stovebolt engineering has a set of bolt on side mounts, etc for a 230-292 in a 49-59 chevy truck - mounts I think run about 140$ not bad considerign the head ache - and the cost of steel . He is by the way the engineer that developed the 194-292 chevy engine .
