I went thur this a couple weeks ago (started at 1900 rpms) and thanks to
some great help from this board it turned out to be the balancer had spun.

checked the timing and the mark was no where to be found.

Re: vibration.........from where?????

mine still has a slight vibration.... but I think most of it is coming from the transmission/torque converter....... I haven't driven it in three weeks... I'm trying to sell the 383 and get something that I can afford to drive again....

Re: vibration.........from where?????

I recently had a similar experience. Only mine turned out to be either the radiator fan or fan clutch. It would start vibrating around 2500 and get worse the faster the engine ran. I guess it didn't like been spun over 6000RPMs and it warped or something. If you haven't disconnected your fan belt you might try it. It's worth a shot.

Re: vibration.........from where?????

i think the problem is the harmonic balancer that pioneer is just a rubber type balancer right .there is a internal and external balancer do you know what type of balance was done . i would think it would be internal balance ,check out fluidampr 620101

it's an external balance engine here's the crank http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SCA-910375/..... I'm almost sure its in the converter..... my timing was still good last time I checked.... I need to start the truck up but I'm to broke to put gas in it until get out of college for the summer and start working 40hrs/week again....

If I can sell my Banshee and sell my 383 I'll have enough money to start working on putting another motor in my truck......
