Ls fuel pump ???
I have a few questions about what in-tank fuel pump to run for a 08 5.3l. This is going in a 85 pickup. I did a search and found that alot of guys are running the AC Delco Ep 381 pump. I've been told that this pump was not designed to run at 58-60 PSI. And that it would not hold up for very long. I've also been told that it well work just fine and that it well flow 50-60 GPH at 70 PSI running 15 amps. Is this true? This going to be DD with 60 miles aday round trip. Thanks in advance

Re: Ls fuel pump ???
It may be possible to adapt the 08 fuel pump module into the 85 gas tank. That way no need to wonder. I actually did that with my 66 C10 when I relocated the tank to the bed.

Re: Ls fuel pump ???
Thanks for the info guys. raic65. I'm going to be doing the blazer tank swap also. I was thinking of looking in to the ls truck senging unit -pump set up also. But didn't think it would fit the tank. I was going to see if Auto zone could get the new assm. and then just take the lock ring for the blazer tank in w/ me to see if thay are the same size. I didn't want to post that quetiuon thinking everyone is go to think this guy is NUTS.

Re: Ls fuel pump ???
ive had the same EP 241 (application used was for an 85 corvette) and used it for 70mi round trips for 8months and then the commute went down to 40mi... drove it from houston to florida 1800 miles and back with 0 problems. Stock engine with bolt ons. I bought a second one for the driver side fuel tank and never installed it in the tank.. just looking at me evertime i go into the garage.
