truck won't start :(

What is wrong with my truck, it won't start battery is good. Makes clicking noise when I hit key. Any advice could it be the starter? Thanks.

First I would check an make sure all the connections on the battery cables are making good contact.

Will it start if you jump it with another vehicle.

How do you know the battery is good?

Can you put a battery charger on it to verify? (or jump it, as previously mentioned)?

I learned this from a mechanic:
Set parking brake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Have someone get in the truck, then in in park or netrual, have them turn the key as to start, then you, under the truck lightly (lightly) tap the starter with a small hamer, if it engauges replace the starter solenoid or the whole starter. If it does nothing then you may have cabeling, ignition and or battery problems.
