LMC Mirrors, Left one sticks out farther than the drivers side?
As the title states the passenger side sticks out farther - is this on purpose? The single bent rod is welded are place and not adjustable, I was just hoping it was so you could see it better from behind the wheel. These are the rectangle ones from LMC. Anybody else ever bought these?

Re: LMC Mirrors, Left one sticks out farther than the drivers side?
I believe that's the reason. My stock round (peep) mirrors are different sized.
Passenger side is about 10" long and the driver side is about 9". |

I believe the size difference is intentional. The logic is the angles that you look through the mirrors at is different so the passenger's side needed to stick out a little further than the driver's side. Plus the bottom of the mirror needs to clear the door at the bottom of the passenger's window so the door doesn't obstruct the view.

I have the same mirrors and I noticed the same thing. Must be intentional.

Re: LMC Mirrors, Left one sticks out farther than the drivers side?
I ran into a problem, while working on a 66 Buick, while using a drivers side mirror on the passenger side. You can't see **** from the drivers seat. The mirror doesn't come in far enough to see down the car, and even if it did the positioning of it would put the mirror's face right dead square with the quarter window trim.
I don't know if it would be the same for the truck, But I have heard the same *****es with aftermarket mirrors on the 73 and up chevy's

That's why I have the little convex blind spot mirrors along with my regular mirrors. You can't see squat with just the regular mirrors.

Did the mirrors mount to the original mount holes? I've thought of buying the larger ones for my truck.

Re: LMC Mirrors, Left one sticks out farther than the drivers side?
Are there any vibrations when driving down the road at 70? I've got the dumbo mirrors and they vibrate and shake like crazy. Drives me nuts (no pun intended). I'm wanting to replace them with some like this.

Re: LMC Mirrors, Left one sticks out farther than the drivers side?
i wonder if you fabbed up backing plates and used nuts and bolts to secure mirrors if you might b able to eliminate some of the vibration problem with those mirrors

Re: LMC Mirrors, Left one sticks out farther than the drivers side?
I used the original mounting plates, lock washers and nuts, super tight. The arms are just too long. It doesn't do it too bad.
