1972 Rear Coil Set up

I'm new to the C-10 pickups. I just bought a 72 C-10 and the rear coils are busted on the top part that connects to the frame. There is nothing there to support it. Was it originally all one piece, or was there an ear that was separate from the coil?

Re: 1972 Rear Coil Set up

The coil is tighter at the top and there are bolted retainers that capture the tight coils.
