Barry Grant Speed Demon 650 carb

$220 shipped to the lower 48. Used Demon 650, vacuum secondary. Vacuum secondary is quick change, I'll even throw in a few springs and also return the carb to factory settings. Parts interchange with Holley and it's real easy for jetting, float settings, idle/air mixture, power valve, pump cam swaps. Fuel line and choke are not included, and this is an older model withough the "idleEZ" baseplate. Just like this one, I'll get an actual pic up this weekend:

Re: Barry Grant Speed Demon 650 carb

I am interested in the carb but have a few questions. Will a regular holley choke set up work on the carb? What power valve is in it currently and also what jets? One last question, are the back jets replaceable or is it a plate like a holley? Any problems with it? I know some have had issue with the demons especially the smaller ones not idling properly on the street etc.

Re: Barry Grant Speed Demon 650 carb

I'm honestly not sure about the holley choke. I believe it has the stock 70/78 jetting and 6.5 power valve and I know it has the pink pump cam (will verify before shipping). I have jets, and can send it with any common size you want, also have some secondary springs I'll throw in a light, medium and heavy. Back jets are easy to change, just screw in the metering block like the fronts.

I got it to idle fine, with my cam I was able to pull 16" of vacuum with the idle/air screws about 1 turn out and it wasn't rich although it did take more than just bolting it on. I had a 725 road demon on there before (way too much cfm) and it was pig rich all the time, couldn't get the idle circuit to lean out.

Re: Barry Grant Speed Demon 650 carb

Awesome, I sent you a pm.

I pulled the bowls and cleaned up the carb a bit, because I don't think you're supposed to ship gasoline and confirmed the stock 70/78 jets and 6.5 power valve are in. It's boxed and ready to ship.

Thanks!
