I'm showing you my tips!

Need some input guys.
Enclosed are 2 pictures of 4" Tips.
The "Hollow Tips" are on my Truck now.
Recently I saw at the Shop, a "Double Walled Tip".
Looks Clean.
My question is which do you think would look better on my Truck?

Re: I'm showing you my tips!

Roger I think the single wall like on your truck presently give a raw sort of look while the double wall tips give a finished look to it. It may also soften the exhaust note too. ?

Re: I'm showing you my tips!

I like the hollow tip when used with side exit, and the double walled when exiting out the back.

Interesting thought process, because this walled Tip was exiting out the back of the Truck, when I snapped the picture.

Why have 4 inch tips if you don't have 4 inch exhaust?

John,
Because I like the look.
It would look POS if I just had a 2 1/2 piece of pipe hanging in it's place.

Re: I'm showing you my tips!

I just have 2-1/2 chrome tips to "cover" the pipes on my 67', I think it looks good, but I also have 3" to 3.5" tip on my 72' As far as your quesion I agree with the above, I like the single wall slash cut for side exit and rolled edge or double wall for rear exit.

Yea but John if you add your Double Pipes TOGETHER, then you'll have at least 4" if not more!

I drove around like that for twelve years. "to each his own" To me the big tips look fake, and somewhat ridiculous, as do most other nonfunctional decorations. If that's what you like though, more power to ya. Oops, I forgot no power gain from exhaust tips.

Re: I'm showing you my tips!

John, No one promised me extra HP with 4" Tips. I'm all about asthetics. Functional or not. If I had your pipes, I'd leave it in the Garage until I had enough $ to put on some Chrome tips.To each his own. You've made it quite clear that your not "into" 4" Chrome Tips. Thanks for your input.

I'm sorry about the remark Roger. That wasn't cool. Aesthetics are important to me as well. We just have different interpretations. I prefer a clean minimalist approach. I always have. You, on the other hand like shiny bolt-on stuff. It's your choice, and I shouldn't knock you for it, but you did ask for opinions even if none of the above wasn't an option. I gave you my opinion. You responded by basically calling anything without 4" tips "POS". When I replied to that you made it personal, and put down me, and my truck. Isn't that a bit childish?

Don't ask for opinions if you don't want them...

Re: I'm showing you my tips!

I have the 4" by 18" tips or echo cans on my truck. I like them and it adds a little bling to the lower rear of my truck.

I think it really depends on the truck, my dad had the smaller 2.5" tips on his LWB truck and they looked real good on it. they wouldnt look as good on my truck in my opinion, but they looked great on his. I also think you cant go wrong on either choice.

Which one do YOU like WWOTR? I would go with that one then.

I like the single wall ones, gives it more of a old school look. I wouldn't put them on my truck probably but I'm going for a farm truck look
