Is there such a thing?

I was wondering if there was such a thing as an exterior cowl panel that wasn't vented and didn't have the holes for the wiper arms? I broke the wiper arm off of the wiper assembly and don't really wanna try to replace it, and figured the hood area would look smoother with out a vented panel with empty holes? Any ideas?

I've never seen one. For the price they're asking for these cowls, it may be just as cheap to have a bodyshop do the sheet metal work for you.

Someone makes a fibreglass one.I know I've seen it posted here somewhere.IIRC the maker is in Tx. You might try a search on cowls. There may be a lot of posts to go thru though.

Good idea. There were a few posts and links that had sort of what I was looking for...even saw one where a guy used JB Weld to fill in his vent gaps then used some body filler over it to smooth it out..looked nice!

I believe that's were your heater gets it's air from, so if it's a daily driver it may not be a good idea. I am sure someone more knowledgeable than me will chime in.

It sure is nice being able to swipe a splattered bug or bird poop off the windshield while driving, even if you do live somewhere that rain or road spray doesn't exist and it's warm all the time. But that's just me.

AJ, Some guys keep the wiper arms under the seat and just throw a set of these on when not in use. Your call on the federal part.. http://www.vintagereproductionparts....-Caps---1-pair

Re: Is there such a thing?

Those wiper bullets are cool. But Im not gonna get out in the rain and put on a set of wipers in the rain. Id just leave them on by fixing what you broke..

Re: Is there such a thing?

This is why I'm keeping the wiper provisions on the cowl I'm modifying.

Re: Is there such a thing?

i never tried it but i thought if someone modified the cowl and hood and made them as one and then torwards the beack to like the 70 challengers have, the hood goes over the wiper arms.. that would be bad @ZZ
