WTB 1972 original lug nuts
Hello all,
On my next treasure hunt, for original 1972 lug nuts off a truck or blazer since they are the same. Will be needing at least 24 of them for 6 lug wheels. As always, thank you for the help. |

Re: WTB 1972 original lug nuts
Thanks, if not found by the time you get back post some pictures. They look like regular bolts but the back side is rounded to snug (couldn't think of a better term) the wheel. Bolt size would be 3/4" on a 7/16-20 thread, I believe. They were the same for Chevy/GMC trucks and blazers/jimmy's, I'm pretty sure the 3/4 tons had the same bolt as well.

Re: WTB 1972 original lug nuts
If you're just looking for regular open end lugnuts, any auto parts or tire store have them. I think what oldblue was asking and I was wondering is if there is anything special about the ones you want.

Re: WTB 1972 original lug nuts
Nope, nothing special. GM used the same size bolts from the mid 40's to the 80's I believe. I just want the originals from the 70's.

Re: WTB 1972 original lug nuts
I think 7/16- 20 is what you need so they will have to come from a 1/2 ton with 6 lugs. The 5 lugs had 1/2- 20 i believe. I will look and see what i have...
