Radiator support from LMC?
Radiator supports are few and far between around here. Has anyone used the one offered by LMC?
It seems reasonably priced - but that's not always a good thing...

Re: Radiator support from LMC?
Haven't seen the one from LMC, but I'd check on eBay first, you'll find better deals.. I'm a firm believer in all the repro parts come from the same 1 or 2 manufacturers out there, LMC doesn't make those parts, they all buy from the same place and resell..
Here's an original: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/60-66...Q5fAccessories Or a repro: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/RADIA...Q5fAccessories

Re: Radiator support from LMC?
One disadvantage I can see using an original is the amount of potential rust in the lower pockets where the mounting bolts go. Some of these are in pretty bad shape. The trade off being a lot of the imported sheet metal parts don’t fit very well. Hopefully someone that has actually installed one will lend some input. Fyi Chevy Duty also sells the same panel as LMC for the same price ($149.95), and I’ve always been very happy with their service:

LMC doesn't have the best reputation here, but it seems to be the place all the newbies buy from. For a while. |

Re: Radiator support from LMC?
Thanks for the input. After shipping, rust repair (if needed), sandblasting, and paint - a used one starts to add up.
But if the aftermarket one doesn't fit right, that brings on a whole new set of issues...

Re: Radiator support from LMC?
I used one on my truck b/c the original was rusted out at the bottom. It looks like a mirror image of the oem and there were no fitment problems.

Re: Radiator support from LMC?
I used one from Classic Parts of Amer., it fit OK-the only issue was a little gap at the top fender bolts that go in from the side under the wheelwell, shims worked out fine there.

Re: Radiator support from LMC?
OK - I ordered one up from Classic Parts. I didn't realize their website was so extensive.
I hope it fits...
