Frame Swap ?????
Hello I was wondering what sort of hassles I would have swapping my 66C20 over to a 85 suburban frame is this frame different than the pickup frame of same year any info would be appreciated Thanks Dusty

The Suburban has a longer wheelbase than a long bed pickup. The '73-'87 pickups and Suburbans have a frame that is different from the '63-'72's such taht you will need to fabricate all ned body mount frame brackets. This typically results in about a 3" body lift. At least it does on a pickup frame. I have heard that the Suburban frames lend themselves better as a donor for a pickup, but I haven't seen one done. Before you get too crazy, check with your local DMV and see what is required to keep your truck legal with a frame swap.
IMO it is a whole lot easier to just transfer all the suspension, steering, engine and trans to your '66.
