Tire question (need Pics)
So I bought Nitto NT05 tires for the back of my truck and I went from a 35 to a 45 on the side wall and well its alot bigger than what I expected but im not really sure if I dont like it. maybe im growing out of the rubberband tires. anyway I need a tire for the front and the kumos that are on it are a 40 which still seem pretty thin so I was wondering id some one had pics of a 18inch wheel with a 40,45,50 side wall tire so I can maybe see what looks the best

Re: Tire question (need Pics)
Knowing the section width would help, you can't calculate the sidewall height without it since it is a function of the section width and the aspect ratio you gave.
Just guessing a 285 section width in the rear, you went from a 3.9" sidewall to a 5" sidewall with the 45 series. That's an increase of 1.125" of sidewall, or about 2.25" overall height of the tire. Again, just guessing a 255 in the front, a 50 series tire would give nearly the same exact 5" of sidewall as the rear.

Re: Tire question (need Pics)
Quote:
The rear 255/45R20 has a 4.5" sidewall, overall tire height of 29". The front 235/40R18 has a 3.7" sidewall, and overall height of 25.4" Going to a 235/45 in the front would give a sidewall of 4.16" and overall height of 26.3". 235/50 would give 4.6" sidewall and 27.25" overall height. If you wanted to bump the width up to a 255 in the front a 255/45R18 would have the same 4.5" sidewall as the rear with 2" shorter overall height at 27". All these numbers are going directly off converting the tire size listed, obviously each manufacturer would have varying exact specs (otherwise there would be oddball sizes like 251/47R20 haha). Most manufacturers list their actual specs on their website or tirerack usually has them listed as well, but they shouldn't vary more than 1/4" or so from what I listed.

225x60 on the front is 28.64". Your backs are 29.04". That would be close.

Re: Tire question (need Pics)
That would be close in overall height, but would have a 5.3" sidewall, about 3/4" bigger than his rear. I was under the impression he was more or less trying to match the height of the sidewall more than the overall height of the tire since he has staggered wheels.
