Re: Where does this small 'pin' go in the turn signal switch?...

I took mine apart recently and didn't see anything like that in there. What is it made of, brass, steel, plastic? You may want to look at an exploded drawing of the column and see if you can identify it that way, LMC has some decent drawings in their catalog, I'm sure someone on here can point you towards an even better drawing. Good luck!

I have been busier than a cat on a hot tin roof today. Trying to get caught up from being gone for the last four days...

As many of those as I have had apart I don't recall ever seeing a pin like that in any of them.

So you are saying that everything works OK but you can't get the plate back in the housing?

Do you have the hazard button pushed in when you try and put the switch in the housing? They can be a pain but they will go in.

I think that pin belongs in the ashtray until a need arises for it.

Re: Where does this small 'pin' go in the turn signal switch?...

very very easy fix...take off the signal lever and remove the turn camber carefully.
when you have it off, directly on top of the ''hazard'' switch you will see a very small hole more off center towards the shaft. she drops in that little hole. carefully reassemble and shes good to go.. wish i was at home so i could take a pic for you...

Re: Where does this small 'pin' go in the turn signal switch?...

i had to do mine twice lucky i had another one to use. the easiest way to get it back into the housing is to put it in one piece at a time with out breaking it. it has some flexibility but what seems to help is to pus the flasher switch in and slowly put it in at an angle with the 3 screws unscrewed. the turn camber and flat springs should be the last thing to go on..

Dang.

I got it all back together, it works.

To turn the flashers off you gotta 'pull' the red thing out. Is that correct?

I'll take it back apart and try to figure it outlater..ugh.

Whats it do exactly? lol

Size: 65.5 KByes you will have to pull it apart. i havent been home yet so i will add to yours...after you remove the turn camber, you will see the contact plates that are being supported by springs. you will see a very small hole, she goes in there. it helps if you use dielectric grease, itll stay in then. if you still need more help i have one in the garage i have thats no good and i will snap a shot of it...i do have to get home first..
