I keep blowin the dash light fuse
Any idea whats causin this? i put a new fuse in and turn the dashlights on and drive around and a few minutes later it shorts out

Maybe some of the lights are grounding out, but I think that would be a little faster than a few minutes. More like a few seconds. I had a similar problem with my old 78 Chevy... I just put a bigger amp fuse in it and the problem went away.
Your headlight switch could always be going bad, too... at least something to check out.

Dash light fuse is linked to the rear running lights .Chech the wiring running along the frame all the way to the rear. They may be pinched between the frame and the bed somewhere. When you have no dash lights it is a sign that the running lights are also out. The brake lights and turn signals will work but the running lights will be out.

I had the same problem on my truck. It was actually the bed crushing the four wires for the rear lights. Rerouted the wires and the problem went away. Or you could try putting in a circuit breaker for a short term solution. They make some that fit right into where the glass fuses would go.

Not only this but when i put my turn signal on left my gas gauge goes way down past E

Sounds like you are missing a ground somewhere. try your ground bus to the left of the column.

Any idea what these wires are for? they looked like there supposed to hook to the light switch and they lead to the dash but i dont know where to hook em up ?
