Brake line ???
i am currently in the middle of converting my brakes from drum to disc (2 wheel) and was wondering what the size/material of the brake line should be. i will eventually convert the rear to disc brakes as well but for now it will just be the front with power booster and all the other good stuff.
i need to replace the entire brake line set up in the truck now and would like to never have to do it again (well at least another 48 years). thanks for your input.

Re: Brake line ???
Personally, I'd run the main runs in 1/4" and the branch lines in 3/16" (unless you are planning on serious brake upgrades then you may want to go bigger). That means the main run from the mc to the back axle would be 1/4" and then split to 3/16 going to each wheel and likewise in the front. As for material, I'd run stainless tubing for all the hard parts and then quality stainless braided hose for the flexible stuff.

Re: Brake line ???
i got the SS braided hose upgrade for my fronts (rears will get the same eventually) i think i have a big enough kit for what i use the truck for. besides the rotors are 12in slotted and cross drilled with a single piston caliper

Re: Brake line ???
previous thread - should help - I posed the question for drum/drum, but there are answers for disk/drum answers as well.
