has anyone used Jegs headers?

I have preached for over a decade on here how the Hooker headers kick ass... and they do.
However, they aren't cheap.
I'm looking in my Jegs catalog, and the plain black low end hookers are $195. http://www.jegs.com/i/Hooker+Headers/520/2452/10002/-1
Looking on another page, I see a possible option, Jegs brand headers. For the no frills plack painted ones I'm only looking at $120

They are both made from 16 guage steel, and have 5/16ths flanges... that's a plus. The Jegs ones are made in the US, hooker doesn't say where they are made.
I KNOW how the hookers fit, they tuck up pretty good, and the primary tubes clear all but one spark plug. I now on some cheap headers you have to use a wrench to get to the plugs, and the boots on the wires fry on a regular basis.

I just wonder if anyone knows anything about these lower cost headers. Are they worth anything? 75 bones isn't much to some people, but it's a crap load of cash to me.

A friend of mine is running them on his '71 C-10 and so far he's been happy with them. They seal up well, and he said they fit fine. The Jeg's rep told him the Jeg's brand headers were made by Walker (Dynomax).

Andy, it was explained to me a few yrs back (long after the customer forgot what he/she paid for the job, they still remember how well it worked) To this old man, 75 bones aint much.....espcially if I have to do the job twice! crazyL

Al, i know you got the hookers too, and you liked them quite a bit if memory serves... bur in reality, 75 bucks is a huge dent in my budget. I'm trying to get it right so I don't have to do it again later.
I'll probably end up with some crappy manifolds again.
Anyone else have feedback on jegs headers?
