Re: Bagged with which gas tank?

In regards to the above post with link.. Thank you.. I was planning to buy the LMC 21 gal kit for 250 bucks, but after reading the link above and going on ebay I scored a 31 gal 73 up tank brand new for 99.00 and a sending unit for 50.99.. Both are free shipping. Saved me 100 bucks and now I will have a +10 gal capacity.

Re: Bagged with which gas tank?

I'm not trying to be a downer since that was a great price, but I don't know if I would have went with the extra gallons since you're going to bag it. I don't recall how far they hang below the frame compared to the stock sized blazer tanks, but I would personally want more ground clearance back there with a bagged ride. Maybe someone with this tank can show how far they drop to see if you're comfortable with it.

I went with a boyd's aluminum tank since they taper up towards the rear.

That's ok. I'm gonna raise my steel bed floor 3 inches when I convert it to short bed. And I also plan to fab up a tank shield out of 10 gauge for it as well..
