It's both. There are 3 bolts on each side and spot welds running across in the windshield lip area. You would need to remove windshield to do it.

Thanks. That's what it looked like to me. My buddy wants to take the dash out of one of his trucks and put it in another.

I think the Factory Assembly Manual shows it to have 27 spot welds.....

from prior experience, it has at LEAST 27 ... felt like 127 when we were drilling them out.
