Im new here, and here is my truck
Hello folks,
67_C-30 and I were talking back in forth in another thread about an issue. He suggested I intro. myself, and post a few pics as he mentioned and I've noticed we all have a little pic whore in us. My name is Andy, and I am the proud new owner of a 1972 GMC 1500 fleetside. I have been checking out the forums for months falling in love with these classic trucks. I love that fact you can actually work on them without haing a PhD, and no matter the condition these classic turn heads all over town. Here are a few pics of the beast... |

from the Heart of Arkansas!!
What I want to know is, how do you guys keep from being blown away on a daily basis? Sure don't need to drive a mini-truck or car, do you? Nice-looking ride.

Re: Im new here, and here is my truck
Thanks for the warm welcome.
As it stands she is a daily driver. Presently I am working on getting her up to snuff, and mechanically sound. She runs, and drives well, but the PO's attention to detail is was not exactly what one could hope for in putting the new/old engine there. But, the truck is in better hands now. Performance wise I am more than satisfied...she just needs some TLC. I am hoping to give her some cosmetic love next summer so she can look as good as she sounds. I have no practical need to lay her down on the asphalt so I think I am going a route dedicated to a great ride, and handling. But, time will tell. Thanks Andy |
