ECE Super Track Bar - BEND IT??
Has anyone ever had to bend a ECE super track bar to get it o fit around a rear end cover? I have a TA Girdle cover on my 12 bolt and the super track bar kit will not fit. Would it be OK to bend the bar to provide clearance? How would you do it?
Thanks

Re: ECE Super Track Bar - BEND IT??
CPP makes a bent one also, I used it with my Moser diff cover, which is a TA casting. The CPP one has a pretty good bend in it, so I would think if you bent a straight bar to clear the cover, it probably wouldn't reach the track bar mount. I'm using a CPP bar and ECE mount on the trailing arm.

Re: ECE Super Track Bar - BEND IT??
fabrication and repositioning of panhard bar mounts is an oldschool type approach to a problem like that

Re: ECE Super Track Bar - BEND IT??
I'm pretty sure 'Hart Rod' used an ECE atraight bar with a different mount to the trailing arm to remedy the same situation. He has pics in his build thread. The brackets he used came from Rob McGregor @ No Limit (a board vendor)

Re: ECE Super Track Bar - BEND IT??
What do you do when your freshly purchased ECE Super Trac Bar doesn't fit around your also freshly purchased TA girdle diff cover? You get creative!!! A few cuts, tweaks, welds, and a little grinding later.... you make one that fits.
What do you think?
