Fuel line options

I'm relocating my tank to the rear. I didn't really plan ahead and now I'm stuck. The rear of my frame is notched, boxed around the notch and has a custom crossmember to mount the shocks right in front of the notch. This is my first time running fuel line and I'm having a hard time routing the fuel line around all that. I've been trying to use 3/8" steel line. Any bend over about 45 degrees is trying to crimp the line (using the nicest bender that autozone rents out). I'm pretty frustrated at this point. Can I use some kind of flexible line from the tank to in front of the notch and then hard line to the front? If I could make it work with two pieces of hard line, now would I mate them together. I'm new to this. Thanks.

i don't see why not use some rubber as long as it's protected from sharp edges. Just like the factory lines is a piece of rubber from tank to frame and frame to pump. I'm just proud your gonna use mostly steel line for the price its much better than some i've seen that run rubber everywhere

I used steel braided for the whole thing. Summit sells a kit with all of the fittings for pretty reasonable.

I agree, you should definitely be able to make a bend more than 45 degrees.

But a short piece of rubber hose isn't the end of the world, as long as you make sure it's protected.
