TBI 700r4 lock up ?

So i just got done a couple weeks ago with my tbi swap adventure. I put a 350 with 700r4 in my 71 c10. I used the wiring from a 90 burb.

I only have two problems. 1. I used the hole harness and took out only acc. so i have every thing in harness still like drac adl. every thing remained the same. However the 700r4 wont lock up in 4th and the only thing missing is the abs module. the module shows a pin for vss and tcc lock up. Do in need the abs module to complete the lock up process.

Side note 700r4 rebuilt by shop and tv was adjusted professionally.

2. The tbi seems to be running rich with a fowl smell. I cleaned the tbi and replaced the gaskets. I do have a small leak from the collector which is about 3 inches outward flow from the o2 sensor. not sure if thats my prob.

Any help or knowledge would be greatly appreciated.

The lockup signal from the ecm is a ground that goes straight to the plug on the trans. The power comes through a brake switch that applies 12v when the brake is not applied.

I agree. You do not need ABS module signal on a 700R4 lockup.

Check the coolant sensor if it is running rich, known problem with TBI's. Some were so sensitive with the resistance that you could get new parts that would throw it off.

I had guys just use a toggle switch to lock up the converter.
