let's see if i can remember this all

remove vent window, 2 screws on front of door, 2 on the side, window needs to be rolled down to do this,

remove weatherstripping from door on sides of window......not sure how to do this without damaging it....

roll the window up partway, slide it foreward to realease it from the back track, roll the window up most of the way, keeping it out of the tracks, then tip it toward to outside of the door, tilt it and pull it off the rollers.......

I hope that's right....i just kinda feel my way around when I'm doing these and it's been a few weeks since I did one.

I have very recent experience in this matter, so I better explain while its still clear in my head. Roll the main window down all the way and then remove vent window as Buck described. Three screws on the front angled door edge, two large screws holding the bottom. You have to give the vent a 90 degree turn to successfully get it past the window slot when pulling it out.

Then roll the main window up all the way, its easier if you carefully remove the window felts. When the window is up you can see the roller setup. The track that holds the rollers has a small open area where one of the wheels can be lifted out.

Putting the vent windows in is a lot tougher unless you know what to do. Put the main window back in and roll it all the way down. The rear track that guides the main window must be unscrewed. You will find two screws holding the bottom part in and one screw at the top backside of the door. Move the rear track and window as far back as you can. This gives ample clearance for getting the vent in position. Believe me if you don't loosen that rear track you will have a lot of wrestling to do.

You can wish in one hand and crap in the other.
See which one gets filled first.

Thanks for the reply. Apparently I don't have to pull the window glass first - but the vent is still a bugger to get out! I'll keep trying.
