Aftermarket Bortek water pump
I decided it was time to replace the water pump on my 72 Blazer. Didn't want a rebuild so I found a parts house selling a new Bortek http://www.fmipcb.com/products.php brand water pump.
First of all I look up the part number for the pump I need on their website, get the part number and get the pump. I wanted to speed things along so I decided to paint it right away so I can install it, then take the old one off. I get to installing it and it turns out the have a long pump listed for 72 Blazers and Jimmys and I need a short one. Sent them an email about the error, have yet to hear back from them. So I get the correct pump after stripping all the paint off the incorrect one, I paint it, install it and go to install the A/C brackets. Well as you can see the heater outlet pipe won't clear the bracket. Managed to grind the bracket down a 1/4" or so and got it to fit. Just a heads up to anyone considering this brand of pump , other then that it looks like an ok pump, just hope it lasts ok.
