Stock 350 help

How much horsepower would you estimate i have a stock rebuilt 350 from advance auto parts in 72 chevy ?

Too many variables... Need to know heads, pistons, comp ratio, cam lift, intake, and such. Normally a stock 350 would have anywhere from 200 to 275-300 stock, depending on a lot of things. I would guess in the 250 range though. Just a guess.

well since I work for them ,if you get me your part number of the reciept I can find out. I'm guessing between 165 to 200

1972 was one of the first years for down sizing hp. most stock 350's in 1972 were rated at 165 hp. Now on the other hand which makes no sence a 307 was rated at 200. I do know the 307 had flattop pistons and the 350 had dish .

1971 stock 350ci has 250 hp@4000rpm,,,,,,thats from my chevy manual,,,,,,but like those guys said its gonna vary on what was actually done to the block,cam,bore,etc,etc

I just bought a new crate engine and it is advertised as 260 horse this the cheapest engine from chevrolet that I could find...1,289 dollar's delivered to a buddies shop.
