door handles ? 72
so my driver side door handle is missing the button to push in to open the door, so I have to muse my finger and insert it into open hole and push the mechanism inside to open the door. My question is do I need to replace entire door handle, and ir so how hard, or can I just get another botton and insert it...

Re: door handles ? 72
You will need to replace the handle pull the inside door panel and you will see the 2 bolts that hold it to the door.

Re: door handles ? 72
1967-72 truck outside door handles are the same, right and left side are different though. Joseph

Re: door handles ? 72
68-72 are the same. If you try to use an used 67 handle you will go crazy trying to get it to work and it will not.

Re: door handles ? 72
you can go to a wrecking yard and find one i suppose if you dont want to change the whole thing but then again you still have to remove the door pantel to replace the button.

Re: door handles ? 72
I have even had the brand new drivers side handle loose the button inside the door after just a month. New doesn't necessary mean quality with door handles.
