Questions About Parts
(1) What is the best brand of door window channel kits and what vendors offer them ?
(2) What vendors sell Trim Parts Brand exterior emblems ? The 2 places I called said they have multiple suppliers and dont know who they are . (3) Where is the best vendor to buy new door locks from ? (4) I know there is a vendor on here that sells a ( push on ? )door weather strip kit but cant remember who it is and yes I did a search but didnt find it. These items should almost be the end of my parts buying I hope .Any help would be appreciated as I plan to get an order together in the next 2 weeks. All these items are for my 72 Shortbed . It seems like GMC Paul may be the door gasket vendor Im thinking of but not sure ,may just need to find him and see. My truck wont be ready for a while but I want to finish filling up our living room with the rest of the truck parts . |

Re: Questions About Parts
I could be wrong but I think many of them are precision......which imo are not the best quality. I know I got a set of window wipes and they just did not fit well, so I bit the bullet and bought a set of NOS to replace them with.

Re: Questions About Parts
It is GMC Pauls that had the push on style door weather stripping. I remember seeing pics someone posted of it installed and IMHO it looks cleaner than the regular OE stripping

If you mean door lock cylinders i picked up new ones for my 68 at Auto Zone. I think they were around 15 bucks. Joseph

we sell the same seals also, they are Precision Brand we are dealers for trimparts and thats the only emblems we sell not the china ones. However the ones made in china are not that bad. Precision had recently retooled the window wipes and fit better now. emblems http://www.mcssl.com/store/mikesbump...072268/emblems not all on site but we are adding all the time |

Re: Questions About Parts
Good to know about the window wipe retooling.....I guess if you get enough complaints you do something about it!
