SteelStik or Bondo?
Who has tips to share for applying and finishing Bondo? Considering instead using a product I found at Home Depot called SteelStik, which I think may work better than Bondo and isn't quite as messy. Found some rust that I can't remove entirely so I phospho'd it and walked away from it for today.

Re: SteelStik or Bondo?
If your looking at a qwik solution and absolutely do not want to cut it out I recommend using a good rust converter...then us fiberglass filler. If you use condo it will come back a lot faster as it absorbs water..dynaglass does not. Not saying its the best option but when I have a customer that wants a "quick" fix that's what I do.

Re: SteelStik or Bondo?
Used fiberglass bondo for a rust spot on the firewall, got it done but it was messy. I should have just stripped it down to the frame and bolted the new cab in place, getting tired of body work already...

Re: SteelStik or Bondo?
Had a couple areas on my build that showed up after sand blasting. I used some metal prep on the area, then used POR-15 putty as filler:

Re: SteelStik or Bondo?
As mentioned putting filler over a hole is a band aid waiting to fall off of a dirty wound.I used the stuff from USC called ALL METAL.I used this and its not cheap but it doesnt crack, shrink or swell up.Its very strong and spreads like filler.I been using this stuff for years and i swear by it.
thanks pat
