Re: rare truck

the v6 was common back in the day... it is uncommon (maybe even rare) that anyone keeps it instead of swappin it for a 350

VERY well said.....I was really interested in putting one on an opened engine rat rod. I had one lined up but the board member I was getting it from stopped responded to Pm's and emails. Im sure he's just dead or something?!?!?! Ive moved on with that project but if a good running one ever does come my way I will grab it just for the coolness factor.

Re: rare truck

I have seen a couple of chassis mount campers on GMC 3500's with V-6's. The RV companies normally used Chevy C-30 chassis because they were cheaper than the GMC's. I would not be surprised if this one has a 351 in it.

Re: rare truck

The interior of the camper looks like someone has been living it recently....still fairly clean! Bill, how much for the Tupperware bowl if you get it?

True, but I'm wondering how this applies to this thread. When's the last time you saw a V6 '68 GMC frame-mount single wheel camper?...for beginners. Then, figure options like p/s and wide wheels along with the condition in this part of the country. Not common or plentiful...ever and especially not now.
I really like it! I'll step in line behind Tim.

Re: rare truck

I agree rare is over used....but more important is the direct correlation people put with RARE= VALUABLE.....because rare does NOT always equal valuable or desirable like many think.
