Putter did mine too. Absolutely wonderful. I'm slacking on getting it installed but I'll have it in this summer.

Re: Look at this custom Dash Cluster !

Come to think of it, Putter, have you ever done a later model? I just picked up a 91 K5 and well, it looks like the cluster lights are out. Since the lights need to be replaced anyway...

Re: Look at this custom Dash Cluster !

Finding them used still costs more than a brand new set of aftermarket ones. Plus, mine is missing the "SS" badging (read - LT)

Re: Look at this custom Dash Cluster !

I am sure Putter will answer all of your questions
all I could tell you is he supplies a nice diagram/instructions
on how to connect the wires and he gives you his cell #
so you could call him if you run into anything....

Re: Look at this custom Dash Cluster !

Go to any audio shop (NOT BESTBUY)....an ACTUAL AUTOMOTIVE AUDIO SHOP and buy the male & female stereo connector to fit something like a 2000 Silverado....
I got them to let me look and I just bought ones that had enough wires to cover what I was doing. Some clusters have needed roughly 20 wires....others as few as a dozen.

I removed the un-needed wires so it looks prettier.
