Found a truck and suburban near West Yellowstone
Heres a pair of truck I found while on vacation a few weeks ago. I know everyone likes looking at old trucks! the burb is a 1/2 ton 4x4 and the truck is a 3/4 ton 2wd.

Re: Found a truck and suburban near West Yellowstone
Cool! Man,talk about leaving a big impression. I'm surprised that windshield didn't break. I think the hoods are from people jumping on them.
I believe that '68 is Saddle color...not a Gold 50th. I could be wrong. I can't tell if the seat is white and gold or fawn.

Re: Found a truck and suburban near West Yellowstone
Was it around Island park area 72 GMC Longstep?
About 7 years ago while vacationing at a lake close to Island Park near West Yellowstone,,I think I seen it driving around .. Not kidding ,,I seen either this one or one like it while viewing the Bears that are fenced in/ in West Yellowstone ..I take notice of all our trucks of 67-72 everywhere I go like most all of us .. If it was the one I seen ,then it was in much better shape with no big jumping up and down dents like Tim is probably right about .

It looked like to me someone jumped on the hoods, but the cab on the C20 looks like something fell on it. The burb was the best one in my opinion being a 4x4 w a 4sp. I am guessing they belong to the owner of the campground. I didn't talk to him because I am trying not to buy anymore project vehicles....I have enough to last a lifetime now. I posted this for two reasons 1) I know people like looking at old vehicles and 2) maybe someone could go and rescue them. |

Re: Found a truck and suburban near West Yellowstone
The hood on my 50th has a big old hit right in the step, about middle of the length of the hood too, via BIG tree branch...

Re: Found a truck and suburban near West Yellowstone
Even though these could be dented from kids, I'm leaning towards very heavy Yellowstone snow drifts. I've seen it happen many times. Sharpie

Re: Found a truck and suburban near West Yellowstone
Never thought of that, the dents do kinda match. They are in an spot that would drift in. Or maybe ice chunks sliding off the roof of the building they are parked beside. It was a tin roof on the building.
