I have a 85 Chevy with lean problem. I have a question about the solution How much do I have to cut the passenger side spring to compensate for the 1" difference here are the measurements floor to fenders on a level surface.

Re: Pics after lowered
How long have you had the springs installed? I ask because it will take a little time for the springs to settle a bit. not sure if they will that much but it might be worth waiting a little while. Also it will help if they are cycled some too, is you truck driveable?
Also very nice truck!

Re: Pics after lowered
that is what I would do and did, I put 2" drop springs in the front and it was a little wierd at first, 1K miles latter it dropped it a total of 1.25" from before because of the 40+ year old springs it had.

Re: Pics after lowered
Swap the front coils from side to side & see if the measurements change.
Did you do the rear flip kit? Were the leafs ever removed? If so, were the leaf-spring bushing bolts tightend w/the suspension extended or w/the full weight available compressing things? Try loosening these bolts & see if the measurements change. Nice looking ride!

Re: Pics after lowered
I would wait until the truck is done, drive it and see BUT I'm not optimistic for you...I had an '87 swb that drove me nuts with 1.5" lean. I swapped springs side to side and there was no change.

Re: Pics after lowered
For some reason every, and I mean "every" Chevy truck I've ever owned sits a little higher on the pass. side. I always just trim the coil on that side however much it needs to level it out.

Re: Pics after lowered
Thanks for the inputs guys, I have the bolts on the rear still loose they are not tight because I just mounted the bed and notice the lean problem and I might just wait and see but I was thinking on two options cut the spring on the passenger side or order another set of 3" and just use one

Re: Pics after lowered
Looks like the rear tires will rub the fender-well lip if you go any more. How much clearance is there?

I don't think you can go any lower with those wheels. (without narrowing the rearend) I assume those are 20x10's on the back. AE shows they come in 5.5" and 6" backspacing. Do you have spacers on the rear? Different rearend housing? They should be tucked under the fenders with that much backspacing.

Re: Pics after lowered
I have a 2" spacer but I am going to have a 1 1/2 " spacer built so I could have some clearence to tuck the rear in some.

Re: Pics after lowered
Truck looks great. Tucking those tires and dropping more will be even better. What size/brand are the tires?
