Hello together....
on many sides you can see and buy the widen rear fenders for a chevy pu 47-53.... Had anyone ever tried to widen the front fenders ?? I think it would be a great stance with widen front and rear fenders.. Thanks Achim |

Can you show me where you can get wider fenders for 47-53? I assume they are fiberglass?

Re: widen the rear and front fender ???
These guys have fiberglass rear fenders but I don't see any fronts on their web site. I had actually thought about splitting the fenders and adding a section but decided against it.

Re: widen the rear and front fender ???
you could get fenders from a one ton. They're wider, but the wheel openings are larger. But maybe you could graft the halfton openings onto the one ton fenders? I've never seen it done, so I don't know if it's possible. Just a thought.

Re: widen the rear and front fender ???
1 tons are not wider on the 47-55 trucks. You have to go to 1 1/2 tons to get them wider. I've swapped them from 1 tons to the 1/2 tons and vice versa with no issues. 1 1/2 tons are 4" wider but are also 4" longer with a different hood because they go up higher on the cab as well. Did BEEP ever get his 'Burb sorted out with those fenders he spliced?

Re: widen the rear and front fender ???
All kiding asid is it possible to stretch fat fenders like mini tubs? Take two fenders, cut the amount out of the middle of one the width you want, split the other in half and weld it all together.

i just wanna see some pics of a truck type 3100 with widened front fenders.. compared to a ford f100 , a chevy truck is very small....so a truck with widened fenders would get a more aggressive appearance as the F100. Regards achim |

Re: widen the rear and front fender ???
Do you mean F1s ('52-back) or later F100s ('53-up)? 3100?? You are wanting to see '47-1st Design GMs and earlier, right? I posted a thread with a 4wd truck that has widened fenders this morning. They're probably wider than you're thinking. I like them as they were made, personally.
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=478917 Edit: Never mind. I just read it all back over and see where my confusion comes from. This thread is in the wrong message board.

Re: widen the rear and front fender ???
They deleted the one in the correct board and left this one? Look and see who moderates this message board and send a PM to move it.
