Frame Bent
Hello, i have a 1971 short box, and while adjusting the body panels yesterday I noticed that the frame by the core support is bent on the drivers side.
The tire also stick out of the fenders further on the drivers side than the passenger side. The truck drives straight as an arrow but it turns right easier than it will turn left. My question is, Can this frame be straightened out at home using any tools or will I have to take it to a frame shop? Thanks in advance. I also added a picture of truck because I know you guys like pictures. |

Re: Frame Bent
I agree leave it alone, no sense in fixing something that isn't really broken. If you straighten the frame you might just screw up the "drives straight as an arrow". As far as one tire sticking out a little more...I'd say 99% of people would never notice. My first car was a '78 Monte with T-tops...it took us well over a year to realize one T-top was chrome and the other was black. If you don't see them at the same time it just doesn't register.

Re: Frame Bent
I hit a pole with my truck a month ago. $300 to have a pro straighten it and align the body. Sounds like the bargain of the century to me.
