Unhappy Saying goodbye to an old friend.

Screamin's engine finally gave up the ghost last year, started smokin pretty bad and oil pressure was gettin worse. Exhaus is gone. Paint is starting to go and the interior needs to be replaced so with a heavy heart I gotta say goodbye....

It is, L31 was the designation for the Vortec truck motors. I use it so nobody gets it confused with the previous gen center-bolts or the ZZ series of crate motors.

Re: Saying goodbye to an old friend.

I don't know much about vortec motors, however, are those the correct intake gaskets for that motor? The heat riser passages look like they will leak into the lifter valley.

Re: Saying goodbye to an old friend.

Randy, there is no passage there, its just a machined recess in the head.... thanks for the heads up though.
