Love those pictures!!! I kinda like this era cause my mom had a boyfriend with a late 70s el camino with headers, sidepipes, cragars, N50s and a raked stance.. Loved cruising around in that car listening to strangehold by Ted Nugent..

I personally like black walls, but if you are going for a 70's look you do need to put the white letters out. Especially if you have BFG's. I graduated HS in 77 and BFG's were the tire to have if you could afford them. I love the stance, the rake is good, but overall its a little low for the era.

What part of the '70s style? Things changed a lot from the early to late. One thing I know,nothing sat that low back then that I recall. Such a slammed stance dates it to present times. I'd say just the Cragars get you there for the mild look. Most of the wild touches would alter it to where you'd ruin the thing. How about some pinstripe or a mini mural on the tailgate?

Yea, I know it's alittle low for the era. But, it's actually a bit high for what I'm use too. The main thing for me was to get the rake right. I guess the look I'm looking for is modern with a twist of early 70s.
I think I'm going to have some pinstriping done with "Bertha" done in gold leaf on the glove box. Thanks for all the ideas, guys Posted via Mobile Device |
