1969 C10 leaf springs
I have a 1969 C10 swb, it seems that when cleaning my back yard of some scrap metal my leafs made their way on to the guy picking up the scrap, I am now left without springs to put my truck back together, an anyone tell me if the leafs are interchangeable with any other years? or do I have to buy the exact ones for my year? also I want to lower it in the back but have not seen a set of hangers or shackles to do so, maybe a flip kit?

Re: 1969 C10 leaf springs
cpp makes a set of shackles 1 or 2 inch drop,, or you can buy the lowering springs.. i just bought a set of the 3 inch leafs and the shackles,, the leafs should be here friday by the ups truck... just make sure you put them in the right way or the wheels will be to far to the rear of the truck, i know mine is in backwards....

Here's a bit of info that I learned the hard way for the 67-72 C/30 guys out there. 73-87 C10/C20 "52 inch springs" will bolt right in. these are 2 1/2 inches wide w/centered through bolt. Getting the right spring pack for your ride quality and load is a whole other issue, as there were many different spring rates available. I believe that 67-72 4x4's also have this measurement. |

Re: 1969 C10 leaf springs
I have a 1969 LWB that I purchased for parts, this one has the trailing arms set up, would it be too difficult to install this setup with my leaf springs rear end? I ask to do the swap with the leaf rear end because it is 3.73 posi rear end and Id like to keep that rear end.

Look in the wrecking yards for a 67-72 GMC, since most of these came with leaf springs. They would be a direct fit for your Chevy.
