how do i do this? please help.
OK guys I'm trying to figure out how to order my rear wheels. I have a 68 rear end with c6 z06 brakes. My truck has a PB trailing arm set up to lay a 32 inch tall tire. I would like to run 24X12 with a 6+ inch lip. Do I order my wheels and have the rear end shortened after or do I shorten the rear end first? I realize that those calipers need a lot of clearance, besides the stock z06 wheels are there wheels.with that much caliper clearance? Or do I have to run adapters / spacers? Thanks for your help...

If you are going to have to shorten the rear end regardless.... first buy the wheels, then take your measurements to narrow the rear. I think that would be the best route.

Youre gonna needa the rear end narrowed for sure with that tall of a wheel and that much drop so Im gonna agree w/ Nate that youre better off getting the wheels first and narrow the rear end to fit. As far as caliper clearance goes, depends on the wheel, some billet and 3 piece wheels have a "high clearance" option where they cut the back side of the face down to clear the caliper but cast wheels will need to be measured and if it wont fit youll need to modify the wheel or run spacers.
