BUT... it is functional and one of the easiest ever made in regards to servicing the heater core.
  • Ever had an under dash heater core fail?
  • Smell antifreeze for a month because the underdash heater core dumped antifreeze all over the inside of the truck when it failed?
  • Stood on your head for an hour turning blue under the dash trying to remove the heater core?
  • Dumped even more anti freeze all over the floor and carpeting as you are removing the heater core?
Once you have experienced all the above that hideous heater set-up on the firewall will start to look so much better.

Lake,

All true, thats why I got rid of the underdash internal model (also, no defrost)and opted for the "delux" fire wall. If we could JUST get reliable correct cores, so as not to chiop up the box to make them fit.
