urgent 700r4 problems
I haven't used drive in a while and today i use it and it will not shift past 2nd gear, it begins to vibrate violently at 60. when i put in a new carb the end of last year i kinda jerry-rigged a way to put the tv cable on so i doubt its in the right geometry but is this causing it or is it more serious? Overdrive goes through all gears fine.

The TV cable is the transmissions only link to the engine. If it's not correct it will damage the trans. "bowtie overdrives" has a couple execelent articles on operation and adjusting The TV cable. Good luck, Ron.
