Re: Is this 68 worth what he's asking?

Asking prices are almost always set higher than what the seller will actually take.

If you decide to go with this truck, I think you'll be exchanging one set of problems for another. Maybe better to keep looking and increase your spending budget a little.

Re: Is this 68 worth what he's asking?

I'm not going to look at it. If I did, I'd probably bring it home and my wife would kill me. I don't have room for two trucks and my 69's rear brakes are all taken apart for repair and I can't move it right now anyway. I also just found out I have to tent my house for termites ($1200)! Bummer indeed.

I really appreciate all of the feedback- you all are awesome. One question to those that said to keep looking: Are loaded, big block C20's that common? This is the first one I've seen in my area. Also, wouldn't a similar, but rust free truck be much more expensive?

Thanks again,

Paul

Re: Is this 68 worth what he's asking?

Patience is key, but YES they are out there!! I bought a 68 GMC C20 off this site for under a grand....396 BB, a/c, etc....was not running...but did not take much to get it going! And recently went out and looked at a 70 Chevy C20 402, ac, etc...and he wanted 1,200...ran great, air needed work, and a small amount of body work with little to no rust.
