Smile '47 side cowl vent

Hi guys,

My truck side vent was wired shut when I bought it. Removed wire and knob and vent door and semi round hinge assy came out. It was just pulled closed and wired - remove wire and it falls out. I can't see how it was supposed to be mounted to the cowl. I know I am missing the 2 flat round springs, and any other piece to mount the assembly. No sign of weld or bolt holes in cowl. Can anyone post drawing or describe what I am missing to anchor this assembly in the cab side?

I drove a new one of these trucks while fishing in Mexico, and loved it, so had to have one.

Thanks for any info any of you can give me,

Ted
