Wood bed strip
What is the correct color for the bed strips? Mine are currently painted body color, my dad says the steel ones are supposed to be black. Might repaint mine, depending on the correct color

Re: Wood bed strip
I painted mine a flat black as a short term solution until I repaint the whole truck. It helps bring out the grain in the wood. I like it so much I might leave it black whenever I get around to painting the truck.

Re: Wood bed strip
I am repeating another thread responce about this and from my own experience. Correct me if I am wrong Andy, LONGHORNMAN? Our trucks came from the factory with the bed strips and wood painted the same color as the truck.
I did my wood up in a really nice protective outdoor paint with several coats applied to both sides and then I painted the strips with a Rino type protectant making it easy to maintain making the bed tough for use. Out her in the desert I really can't have a nice stained with clear protectant type of finish on my bed wood. Good luck on yours and we all look forward to seeing the final result. R/
