Power brake and PVC
Hello,
My truck has a E-Performer 600 with the power brakes hooked to the PVC port and the actual power brake port blocked. If I were to remove the screw/bolt from the power brake port, what would I need to install the power brake vacuum line there? Also, my engine does not have a PVC valve installed. Someone told me to run 2 breather caps. Got to asking around and was told I need a pvc valve on passenger valve cover going to carb. Is this accurate? If so, when I do get this fixed, will I noticed any difference in the way the engine performs? As it stands now, if I put my foot into it for a bit and let off, I get a nice brownish cloud coming from the passenger side of the truck. Thanks.

You need an adapter that if you took off a quadrajet you need to pull it off the back and it will go right in

you don't "need" a pcv valve. the breather cap will take care of it all the pcv valve does is force your engine to reburn it's exhaust

Will I notice any difference in braking performance by hooking the brakes to the rear port on carb? Currently, the brakes can feel weak at times.

The fitting or "connector" as it is called in the AIM is a 1/4 MIP male thread to an inverted female flare fitting that the brake vacumm tube screws into. i found this online. the guy said you can find it in a brass fitting

you should be able to find it at a hardware store. And i'm about to go with a breather cause i canceled out my pcv valve as well

All this was done before I bought my truck. I now have a breather cap on both valve covers. The thing that has been bothering me is the amount of steam coming from the passenger side valve cover after I put my foot in it. That is why I was thinking about putting a pvc valve back in.

as long as you use rubber hose. if you still have the stock end on your power brakes you will need one with female threads that will go onto the end of it.

No I don't. The power brakes are plugged into the PVC port on carb. Isn't the standard size hose 3/8 inch for vacuum applications? If so, the 1/4 x 3/8 MIP fitting is the one I need then.

It may be i'm not sure on the sizes but it sounds right i'd bring a piece of the hose to give it a fit test
