I finally got the underhood all cleaned, painted and wiring hidden. Waiting on the motor to be put together then drop it in.

I managed to burn up so gas and maybe a little tire... Drove my burb to the east texas state fair twice. To my work once to reset the alarm due to a box crossing lazer beams with the wind.

Re: What did you get done 9/25/2011 edition

I sold some C30 spindles, a new flip kit, & AOL set-up I had purchased for the dually to another board member (texassquarebodies).

I got a little driveway time Sat & finally got some color on the motor. Still need to do some touch-up work as the color was a little thin in a couple of spots. It did look pretty decent as is but those thin areas bother me . I also mocked up the serpentine set-up to get an idea on how to move forward. A couple of buddies came by to check on my progress & gave me the thumbs-up .

Re: What did you get done 9/25/2011 edition

Got a bunch of work done helping my folks remodel the house they're moving into...didnt get anything done on my truck. Would have, I was gonna get a few parts I've been meaning to get, but when I walked out of my apartment this morning, I discovered that my truck was gone!! This crazy psycho b!@ch in my complex apparently hates the fact that I drive an old bucket of bolts instead of a nice car like everybody else here, she's had it out for me since the day she moved in, so last night she called and had my truck towed outta here because I parked in front of my garage and forgot to move it!!!!! So yeah, that stupid horrible worthless female just screwed me out of half of my damn paycheck, cost me almost $300 to get my truck back from the tow company. What do yall think, should I hotwire her car, park it in front of her garage, and then call and have it towed? lol god I freakin hate living in the city!!

Re: What did you get done 9/25/2011 edition

Figured out what all the oil spattered on the front of my trailer was from.

gear oil. Lots of it dripping out. The cover had a couple of pin holes rusted right thru.

So painted up a new cover, then got it covered in body filler dust and slapped it on.

Fresh gear oil and done.

Re: What did you get done 9/25/2011 edition

cleaned the garage, swapped batteries in the k20 so my new one doesn't get stolen while the insurance adjuster has it in the lot...debated swapping my header, offy intake and q-jet back to stock but that seemed like a lot of work for a truck I'll probably be getting back in a week anyway...

Still trying to put a deal together on the K30 crew cab, but seller is kinda hard to work with.

Re: What did you get done 9/25/2011 edition

Finally got the bed off my frame-up restore so I can get crackin' on the rear part of the frame. Also got the shocks removed and gave the frame an initial rinsing. Next up? Shackle and hanger kit install. The picture, of course, is before cleaning and shock removal. I've been thoroughly impressed, I haven't had a single bolt fight me yet. Even the bed bolts came out without stripping the holes, and the U-bolt nuts loosened up with no problems.
