New/Old member finally checking in..........

Hey everyone I finally want to introduce myself. I picked up a 66 step side about seven months ago and had no idea about these trucks or body work. I did a search after I got the truck home and found this site. I have been reading so much on this board and want to thank everyone for all the great posts and pictures.
I jumped in head first and have been learning as I go. The truck is really coming along and I hope to have it ready by the end of November for Daytona. The truck is going to be done in a military theme. So after all these months I wanted to say hi and thanks. I started a build thread and posted ton of pictures. Check it out.. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=486223

Welcome from Casselberry. I dig your metal skills. I have some problem areas on the bottom of my doors that I'm about to tackle. What gauge sheet metal are you using? I also have the same problem over my windshield on the passenger side. You gave me some inspiration on fixing it. I assumed it was bad enough to never really have a decent truck, but yours was far worse than mine.

Thanks for the props.. Shoot me a PM sometime. I have some patch panels I didn't use. Maybe we could check out each others rides sometime....

I used 16 GA for some and most of the metal was door panels that I cut and used..
