reverse lights

The reverse lights in my truck dont work. Where is the switch that operates them? Is it on the trans or in the column? Gonna try to fix it this evening. Thanks guys. Trans was replaced just before I bought the truck, so I am guessing it is something just not hooked up. Just looking for a quicker answer rather than spending a lot of time looking.

Re: reverse lights

My '78 had three on the tree originally...it had a switch at the base of the column near the floor. I added a T5 trans to my truck which has the switch at the trans, so I ran a couple of wires to the switch in the trans, and VOILA working reverse lights

Re: reverse lights

if your talking about your truck in the signature, the switch is mounted on the column next to the firewall there is plastic ear that sticks inside the column that engages the back up lights will break off
